Class Pass Review: Cycle Bar

I recently got into Class Pass again and let me tell you, I am LOVING their new points system. Now there are no longer restrictions to visiting the same studio, just a difference in point "costs" and you can roll over up to 10 credits into the next month! This is great for my flexible schedule and I love that certain classes are different points than others depending on time, instructor involvement, and equipment needed. Read on and see how you can get $30 off your first month of classes!

This week I tried CycleBar since the studio is relatively close to both my home and work. I have taken one cycling class before, so I still consider myself a newbie to the wonderful world of indoor bikes. The reviews for CycleBar were great, and I enjoyed that I could create my own personal profile on their website to track my progress as I continue to ride with them. The location of the studio is perfect -- close to the light rail (1/2 mile walk) and plenty of healthy food options to enjoy afterwards!

When I walked in, I was greeted by friendly stuff eager to help me sign-in. To do so, I checked-in via an iPad (how millennial) and it gave me my bike number for the class. Next was shoes, which Cyclebar supplies for free, and the clerk helped me find my correct size. They have a locker room right outside the studio itself with lockable lockers for your personal items, water, and snacks!

As for the class itself, it was a ton of fun. My favorite part was when they turned on the screens and we all "raced" each other (I got second place because competition feeds my soul). At the end of the class we did some arm workouts which was nice since my legs were like jelly. Our instructor, Claudia, was encouraging, very helpful, and had a great playlist to cycle to!

Quick Facts

(please note Class Pass Credits are for locations in the Denver area)

I really liked this class. You can go at your own pace, especially if you're a beginner like me. The instructors are encouraging but not strict, and the atmosphere is super fun. And since they assign you your bike to ride, they will send you an email after the class with your stats from your bike including how many calories you actually burned (they take your height and weight to get something more accurate). I will definitely be coming back!
